To support Tactical Air's FA-18A-G fleet consulting requirements, the Senior Tactical Systems Analyst position is an integral part of a dedicated, elite team of professionals who get things done, enjoy working together, and are committed to growing with this fast-moving company.
This position is located at Tactical Air Support's Naval Air Station Oceana office in beautiful Virginia Beach, Virginia. NAS Oceana offers an ideal setting for professional and personal fulfillment.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Tactical Systems Analyst position will be professional, highly productive, disciplined, team-oriented, technically astute, and responsive to the needs of the company, colleagues, and customers. This position reports to the Fleet Support Sector Lead and will be responsible to provide warfare analyses of alternatives, tactical systems usability studies, strike fighter aircrew tactical systems training, and technical manual production. The Senior Tactical Systems Analyst will leverage extensive operational strike fighter experience and graduate-level credentials in strike fighter employment, instruction, and/or flight test.

- Research Software Configuration Set updates and apply to fleet airworthiness documentation.
- Compile and convey various technical and engineering documents to aircrew in written and/or oral form.
- As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), provide hands-on training to aircrew and maintenance personnel on various FA-18 systems.
- Deliver classroom and simulator training to FA-18 aircrew and/or maintenance personnel.
- Develop training materials in various formats and platforms such as PowerPoint presentations, oral briefs, and in-flight guides for use by FA-18 aircrew.
- Ensure protection of current and potential intellectual and company technology.
- Regularly interact with and provide guidance, support, and input to internal and external customers, include VFA/VAQ squadrons, CVWP personnel, test squadrons, and program offices.
- Comprehensive technical and functional knowledge of FA-18 Super Hornet.
- Ability to demonstrate and convey technical and tactical knowledge of FA-18 systems.
- Ability to compile and convey knowledge of current and new software configuration sets.
- Strong computer skills with ability to utilize various software and applications (Microsoft Office
- 365/GCC High/MS Teams preferred) for creating documents, reports, forms, spreadsheets,
- presentations, and publications as required; web-based applications for organizing work,
- communications, or data entry; and virtual office/cloud-based file sharing.
- Ability to properly handle classified and/or protected information and/or materials, manage files,
- and maintain records in compliance with standard or required recordkeeping practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide information to colleagues, customers, coworkers, or other stakeholders (internal and external) utilizing various communication formats and tools, and exhibiting appropriate body language and listening skills, with emphasis on sharing or transmitting technical information with clarity and accuracy.
- Ability to plan and carry work through to completion with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to comfortably manage multiple tasks and projects utilizing time management and
- organization skills.
